1995 Volkswagen Golf
The Volkswagen Golf family expands in 1995 with the introduction of the Volkswagen
Golf GTI VR6, along with two other models. The new Golf model has with it new
features both inside and outside. A new engine was also introduced to boost its
performance.

The new GTI model is equipped with a 2.8 liter V6 engine that produces 172 hp
of power and 177lb-ft of torque. The only transmission type available is the 5-speed
manual transmission that gives it a fuel economy rating of 18/25 mpg (city/highway).
The engine is also equipped with the SEFI system.
The 1995 Volkswagen Golf also comes with some features not available for the
earlier models. Standard exterior features include power windows and rear window
defogger. It also now comes equipped with alloy wheels. Other exterior specifications
include an independent front and rear suspension as well as a rack and pinion
steering type.
Inside, the 1995 model is more equipped. Among the standard interior features
are the air conditioning system, tachometer, cruise control, cassette player,
and manual sunroof/moonroof. The Golf also becomes safer to ride with the standard
features like dual front airbags, power windows and door locks, and ABS brakes.
Other interior and safety features include height-adjustable manual front seatbelts
with emergency tensioners, side impact door beams, and daytime running lights.
