2003 Volkswagen GTI

The 2003 Volkswagen GTI comes only in the 3-door hatchback body style with two engine options: the 1.8 liter turbocharged 4-cylinder engine that produces an amazing 180 hp at 5500 rpm, and the smooth 2.8 liter VR6 engine that produces even more power of 200 hp at 6200 rpm. Transmission options for the GTI include the standard 5-speed manual and the optional 5-speed automatic. A new option in the 6-speed manual transmission can further boost its performance.

 

In safety features, the 2003 Volkswagen GTI comes abundant. It is fully equipped with dual front and side-impact airbags, as well as side curtain airbags for maximum restraint. Other safety features include anti-intrusion side-door beams, side impact door beams and the important ABS brake system.
