2004 Volkswagen GTI

If you think that the 2004 Volkswagen Golf is good enough, then the 2004 Volkswagen
GTI would surely amaze you. The GTI is the high-performance version of the Golf,
which offers more speed, quicker acceleration, and better handling. It is better
than the Golf in many ways, including its set of standard interior and exterior
feature.
At the start of the 2004 model year, the Volkswagen GTI will be available in
two models: the GTI 1.8 T that is equipped with the 1.8 liter turbocharged I4
engine that produces 180 hp of power, and the GTI VR6 that is equipped with the
2.8 liter 200 hp V6 engine. Later in the year, the Volkswagen GTI will have another
model, the Volkswagen GTI R32 which will also be equipped with a V6 engine. All
models are available with either the 5-speed manual transmission or the 5-speed
automatic transmission with a manual shift-gate. A separate 6-speed manual transmission
is available for the GTI VR6, which is also equipped with break assist and an
anti-skid system.
The 2004 GTI is still packed with a lot of interior features that include air
conditioning, cruise control, height-adjustable front bucket seats, a center console,
heated power mirrors and power windows and door locks. An AM/FM/CD/cassette player
with a Monsoon sound system is also available.
If safety features are your concern, the Volkswagen GTI does not come incomplete.
Standard equipments for 2003 include dual front and side-impact airbags, side
curtain air bags, and trunk anti-trap device. Other safety features include power
windows and door locks, vehicle anti-theft system, ABS brakes, locking differential,
traction control and keyless entry system.
