Volkswagen Golf Picture

Ever since it was introduced, the Volkswagen Golf was known as the practical hatchback, the worthy replacement to the best-selling
Volkswagen Beetle, which was initially replaced by the Volkswagen Rabbit. It is
known to give a decent amount of power, superior handling capability, luxurious
comforts and an abundance of safety features.
The Volkswagen Golf came as the replacement to the Volkswagen Rabbit. It was
initially powered only by a 115 hp 2.0 liter 4-cylinder engine with a standard
manual transmission. Now it is available with three engine options: a 2.0 liter
I4 engine for the regular model, a fuel efficient 1.9 liter I4 turbocharged diesel
engine for the TDI trim, and a powerful 3.2 liter V6 engine for the R32 trim.
The standard transmission stays with the 5-speed manual type although a 6-speed
manual, 4-speed automatic and 5-speed automatic are also available as options.
If the third generation Volkswagen Golf of 1994 comes meager with interior and
exterior features, the present generation and the upcoming fifth generation is
lavishly equipped with interior and exterior amenities. The Volkswagen Golf is
also much safer and secure now, making it a car that really adheres to the tradition
of Volkswagen cars.
