Volkswagen Golf Rating
The
Volkswagen Golf has always been a constant high rater in many aspects like its performance,
comforts and safety. It is, however, far from perfect as poor ratings would also
be given to some other aspects like quality and styling. Balancing the ratings,
the Volkswagen Golf will still rate good, even better compared to some of its
competitors.
There is not much to complain and a lot to love about the performance of the
Volkswagen Golf, especially for the recent model releases. The Golf has constantly
been a high-rater in performance due to its powerful engines, capable handling,
and practical body style. Even the entry level model of the car can give you excellent
performance, far better than most of its competitors.
The Volkswagen Golf also gets a fairly high rating in comfort and conveniences.
The Golf is lavishly and luxuriously packed with a lot of interior amenities that
is guaranteed to make every ride comfortable. And not only would you be comfortable
inside the Volkswagen Golf but also safe and secure. The Golf also gets high crash
ratings from the NHTSA; a perfect 5 star rating for front and side impact, 3 stars
for pedestrian impact and 4 stars for child protection.
If there are any bad ratings for the Volkswagen Golf, it would mostly come from
its styling and quality. Although the hatchback style is practical in every way,
most Americans don't like it and terms it as boring. Recent sales however indicate
that the hatchback style has slowly been penetrating in the American market, an
indication that the American car buying population have come to see the practicality
of the hatchback.
The quality of the Volkswagen Golf's parts has also been getting much criticism
and poor ratings. Volkswagen Golf owners would usually complain about defective
and easy to wear-out parts. These quality problems have long been pulling the
ratings of the Volkswagen Golf down.
