Volkswagen GTI

The Volkswagen GTI is a sporty and high-performance hatchback. It combines hatchback practicality
with power and luxuriousness. Equipped with powerful engines and excellent interior
and exterior features, the Volkswagen GTI performs much better than its entry
level sibling, the Volkswagen Golf.
Ever since it was first introduced, the GTI model has always been the sporty
hatchback for Volkswagen. It was first introduced in 1983 as the sports model
of the Volkswagen Rabbit. Production of the GTI ceased when the Rabbit was replaced
by the Volkswagen Golf and came back in 1994 as a sports edition of the Golf.
In a few years after that, Volkswagen made the GTI a separate model. It offers
a new model line up that would serve as the sportier alternative to the Volkswagen
Golf.
Being the premium quality hatchback, the Volkswagen GTI performs way better than
the standard Golf. It is equipped with more powerful engines that accelerate quickly
and drives fast. Handling capability is superior although that of the Golf is
good enough. It is also more luxuriously equipped than the standard Volkswagen
Golf. Overall, the GTI is really the high-performance hatchback.
